Javed is a former investment banking CEO with a very strong enterprise risk management background and additional expertise in cross-asset trading and investing. He has over 30 years of experience.
Javed started his career at the Bank of England, focusing on Banking Supervision, before moving to Nomura in 1998, where he spent 20 years.
An initial role in risk management, where he managed credit risk exposure globally ex-Japan, was followed by a stint in the firm’s de facto internal hedge fund.
He transferred to the Middle East in 2007, where he held senior regional roles including two stints as CEO of Nomura’s Saudi business.
Javed joined GreyList in 2021 to build out GreyList Red and expand the overall franchise in the Middle East and Asia.
